Digital Marketing Strategist

604 Records is one of Canada’s most successful independent record labels and a multimedia company. With over 20 years in the industry, the label is home to a diverse roster and has developed some of Canada’s most renowned artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen, Marianas Trench, Coleman Hell, JoJo Mason and many more. Our Strathcona based office is looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist to join our team.

This role is perfect for a person who loves engagement, social media, and entertainment marketing. You are well versed in content optimization. You are up to date with best practices around social media marketing and digital advertising. You are also a team player who will approach our marketing meetings with plenty of ideas and a well-organized content calendar. You are comfortable with programs like WordPress, Mailchimp, and Later.

Core responsibilities include social media calendar management for our company profiles and clients as needed, execution and optimization of paid advertising campaigns, content optimization for social media, email marketing, copywriting, website maintenance and engagement growth.

Job Tasks

Social Media Management

  • Manage daily content calendars
  • Monitoring engagement and platform growth
  • Community management
  • Staying on top of industry trends / researching upcoming platforms
  • Develop digital strategies to increase engagement
  • Collect creative assets from A/V team & Project Managers and/or creation of assets and copywriting as needed

Paid Ads

  • Management and optimization of paid advertising for clients across multiple platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Ads)
  • Understanding of content guidelines, regulations, and best practices
  • Work with applicable Project Manager to identify target audiences and key demographics per artist
  • Monitoring and creation of campaign performance reports
  • Strong understanding of Pixel/Conversions API tracking systems

Email Marketing

  • Draft and schedule email marketing campaigns
  • Manage company mailing lists
  • Strategizing and managing the company Substack account
  • Understanding of email segmentation and audience engagement

Website Maintenance

  • Oversee maintenance of company websites
  • Basic website weekly updates (news posts, add new releases, add video content)
  • Assign email signatures / update website with new staff

Full-time position, available to start immediately. The approximate base pay range for this role is $60,000 – $70,000 in addition to group health and dental benefits offered and generous vacation time
allotment. The actual base pay will be based on various factors including the candidate’s level of skills, experience, and education aligned with the needs of the role, budget, and market.
