Listen: The Zolas Wander a Psychedelic Landscape With New Track ‘Yung Dicaprio’ | Indie88
FOLLOWING TWO NEW SINGLES RELEASED EARLIER THIS YEAR
Vancouver’s The Zolas have released a brand new song today, “Yung Dicaprio.”
The pulsating track is a fascinating blend of pop and alternative nods with vocals that burst with enthusiasm. Filled with colourful and spacey synths, punchy drums and groovy rhythmic guitars, The Zolas seem to be comfortably settling into their entirely new and self-assured sound.
Taking to their Instagram, The Zolas revealed that they became obsessed with the Romeo + Juliet film and soundtrack from 1996. They wrote, “Yung Dicaprio is about 2 people from opposite ends of the same sick world who find the antidote in one another. It reminded me of how new love and new music can save your life in the same way. That’s how the soundtrack made me feel and that’s how you’re meant to feel listening to this song on a shiny day.”
